It started with a realization: food insecurity appears for many reasons.

Some families are unable to reach supermarkets with nourishing, healthy food at affordable prices. All too many food pantries struggle to reach families in need and are unable to make deliveries.

Distribution
After COVID-19 struck, the world realized just how easy it is to disrupt supply chains. Spotty food availabilities and soaring food prices have alarmed everyone all, most especially those who are unable to afford food even in normal times.

Nutrition
It is well-known that families suffering from food insecurity often struggle to afford healthy, nourishing food. Food pantries struggle to keep fresh food in stock, and healthy foods are all too often more expensive than their unhealthy counterparts.
Ensuring Food Security for All
Our device is able to ensure food security by eliminating supply chains and families’ need to travel to get food. We believe that nutritious food is a right, not a privilege. By using a portable, enclosed community garden that can be hidden inside a piece of furniture (such as a table or a bed), families can grow their own organic produce within their own homes, negating the need to visit a supermarket or food pantry altogether.

Our Timeline
By partnering with food pantries to help us distribute our products, we hope to provide those who need it most with nutritious food. Our first three products will be sent to families in need through nonprofits. Keep up with our work to see us making a difference in people’s lives!
